1958 Porsche 356 Rod Emory Special

This 1958 Porsche 356A modified by Emory Motorsports in 2008 as the fifth Emory Special built. Power is provided by a 2.5-liter flat-four that was designed by Dean Polopolus and incorporates 911 internals and a custom crankshaft housed in a custom-cast case as well as twin Weber 48 IDA carburetors, twin-plug ignition, and dry-sump lubrication. Finished in black, and featuring an electric sunroof, deleted drip rails, and louvered panels in the rear quarters, as well as modified B-pillars, bumpers, and wheel arches. Additional equipment includes a Type 901 five-speed manual transaxle, a limited-slip differential, custom annular disc brakes, dropped front spindles, 911-style rear suspension, 16×5” billet aluminum wheels, Fibersteel bucket seats, and a 911R-style steering wheel. A recent engine overhaul was performed in late 2022.
